Explore the diverse forms and functions of mesopelagic fish in the Northeast Pacific
Why are we so interested in mesopelagic (twilight zone) fish?
With fish stocks dwindling in the upper ocean, companies are now looking at deeper fish communities. Because so little is known about the mesopelagic zone, the consequences of fishing are unknown. The aim of this project is to learn more about the ecology of organisms in the relatively untouched twilight zone of the Northeast Pacific Ocean.
